In 1962, Tom began his automotive career at Cline’s Rambler just outside of Apollo, PA. Then in 1966, he graduated to Ferrante Oldsmobile in Vandergrift, PA. After 15 years of service at Ferrante Oldsmobile, he decided it was time to make the move to business ownership. In February of 1982, he opened Tom’s Auto Service in a 2 bay shop in North Vandergrift, PA. The business location remained in the 2 bay shop until in 1998, Tom and his wife Janet then purchased the former Guthrie Chevrolet building in Apollo, PA. In October of 1998, Tom’s Auto Service officially was open for business in Apollo. Tom's son Mark began working part time at Tom’s Auto Service when it opened in 1982, then after graduating High School and Northern Westmoreland Vocational Technical School in 1984, he began to work full time. In July of 2013, Mark and his wife Sheila purchased the business and property from Tom and Janet, and changed the name of the business to "Tom's Auto Service of Apollo, LLC" We will continue to provide professional courteous service to you, our customers. It is our plan to be in business for many years to come.
